Staunton (pronounced "Stanton") is a small city in Virginia's scenic Shenandoah Valley. Although it is not as famous or frequently visited as nearby Charlottesvile, Staunton is still worth a stop for a few reasons. It has a well-preserved downtown area that is full of dozens of historic buildings. Also, it has President Woodrow Wilson's birthplace and a museum dedicated to the World War I US president.
