Weekend memories. | Bournemouth beach and pier. |
Nearest large town(s)/city: IS Bournemouth.
Working for the railways, I had the benefit of free train travel. Every spare weekend I had at the time was spent down in Bournemouth.

| | A better view of the pier. The pier is very useful if the weather turns nasty.
There are plenty of entertainments at the end of the pier to keep little ones amused. Unfortunately, this can seriously damage your wallet!
Not only rain can upset your holiday plans. Bournemouth is also prone to high winds which can whip up a sand storm if you are walking along the beach making you feel sand blasted.
