Rock is a very small and beautiful villiage between Bewdley and Ludlow.
Nearest large town(s)/city: Bewdley.
The main picture depicts John, a friend, fishing a very weed covered private pool at Rock. (Owner of the farm on the left).
Notice the lack of water in the pool. Just behind the blue box is where the waterline should be at.

| | Feeding time. The fish were only too happy for John to feed them when they realised that they would not be harmed and put back into the water. They soon got hold of the rules of the game!
There will be tangles now and then!! John was singing the praises of the reel that he had on the rod - until the line decided to go 'self tangling' and an unravelling session then ensued.
We actually did some weed clearing after I had taken the photographs! |
| | So much for 3 hours fishing. This is the end result. Only small fish, (Rudd), about the size of a fat Sardine.
The pool had not been fished regularly for years - but good fun and what better location than being out in the fresh air of the countryside as I am not a fisherman, instead of in front of the TV.

keida84 Sat Jul 30, 2005 21:35 UTC Fishing is not a lot of fun! I would not do very well if I had to survive on fish and fishing :-( Kat |
