Nearest large town(s)/city: Dudley, Wolverhampton or Worcester.
The Lion

Produce of Great Britain

This is a full sized replica of the Stourbridge Lion that is kept at the Baltimore & Ohio museum in the states.

The Stourbridge Lion locomotive was the first steam engine to run in the United States, shipped over from England.

If you like railway history, I have some more old railway pictures of Stourbridge in my travelogue Some_old_railway_pictures_of_Stourbridge.

Another location near Stourbridge

Obviously a canal location. This is Stewpony, about two miles out of Stourbridge towards Bridgnorth and, (although a good many miles from), the Wales border .

The narrowboat is headed towards Stourport or Worcester. At either of these destinations, locks gain access to the river Severn

Pros:"The town that I grew up in so I'm biased."
Cons:"Not so good as it was years ago when rock was just a stone."
In A Nutshell:"Too built up now and getting worse."
