The sea front at Alicante. Soft golden sand and the hotel was only across the road from here!
Local Alicante (Spanish) time: UK + 1 hour. Currency: the Euro Language: Spanish (Catalan)
Nearest large town(s)/city: IS Alicante.
When I was there in June 2001, I used to go into the sea at 2am. It was lovely and warm and very good for the feet, walking along in the sea. |
| | This looks like the 'Flatiron'. This build ing in Alicante looks very similar to the 'Flatiron' in America. There are a couple of Irish bars along this road but you won't find any Irish people in them. They are done as a theme only and Spanish are their main clients. |
Paseo. This colourful walkway really comes alive on a Sunday afternoon when all the Spanish after their lunch and in their best Sunday clothes walk up and down. (To aid digestion?)
