Tossa de Mar is a beautiful town with cobbled streets, an ancient castle and a beautiful mountainous scenery with green valleys, gorges and natural springs. There's a popular beach life in this attractive resort that appeals to couples and families rather than lager louts.

Medieval Tossa dates back to the year 966 and in 1187 the castle was built on the headland to defend the town against invaders by sea.
Today it's invaded by tourists who enjoy the feeling of history and great views from this highest point in this ancient town of Tossa de Mar. |
| | Another view FROM the castle. I was staying in Malgrat de Mar when I visited Tossa de Mar as part of a trip to San Feliu de Guixol by sea. All arranged by the Hotel reps. |
View from the top. You can just see the castle on the left and halfway up the picture.
