"Lonely Ruins" Fort Lancaster by RowdyTheologian

I arrived at Ft. Lancaster late in the afternoon, about 15 minutes before the gates closed. There was a sign at the Visitor's Center that said they were closed due to budget cuts. That's a real shame, but at least they had a stack of brochures containing maps and explanations. It's a good thing too, because the place is pretty level. Though there's not much more than foundations circling the parade field, the ruins north of the field are less conspicuous and might be missed without the map.
