Starbucks: This One Didn't Close

Thank goodness this Starbucks wasn't on the list of the hundreds that did close. It is right near the metro station and nice to be able to go in there and sit and read or work on your computer. A younger crowd goes here than to the Trellis.

The Trellis: Meeting Place For Roosevelt Islanders

This is sort of like a diner. Very popular with the locals as it has been the only real restaurant on the Island until recently. They have jazz on the weekends starting at 6 and you can sit outside right opposite the historic church.

Favorite Dish: The burger was pretty good. A typical diner burger, which I love, but any health food freak would be totally disgusted while watching me eat it. The burger with two glasses of wine was about $14.
