Yes, same experience. I was walking down Nanjing Road when 2 girls walked up to me and asking all kinds of questions. We had a good laugh but as soon as they wanted to "drink" something I brushed them off. They were disapointed and I saved some money :)

Which part of Tong Ren Lu are you referring to? The place I went to had 40 - 50 RMB drinks ... and that was for orange juice. I can't picture the locals paying those kind of prices.
