Boston, You Were My Home

Boston was my home for 10 full and memorable years between the years of 1997 and 2007. The time I spent here saw me through many growing pains and I will always be thankful to the city for that. It is one of the most beautiful cities in the United States and I would encourage anyone to visit here at least once in their lives.

Boston is known as being America's most walkable city and I have to agree. I have spent full days covering every corner, experiencing the diverse neighborhoods, soaking in the historical sites. From downtown's Chinatown and the North End's Little Italy, to the Irish streets of Southie and the cobblestoned and gaslit ones of Beacon Hill, you will feel like you have visited many more than just one city.
Walk the Freedom Trail, visit Paul Revere's house, visit the burial ground of patriots and presidents, climb aboard the oldest commissioned warship in the world, view the balcony where the Declaration of Independence was read from, grab yourself some clam chowder, walk down to the harbor for the sunset and then make your way to Fenway Park or a nice little pub to watch the Red Sox battle it out for our city.

But do get some rest, there will be tons more to experience in the morning.

Pros:"The history, the architecture, the seafood and the Sox"
Cons:"A bit of a puritanical city. Liqour is only available in liquor stores, clubs close at 2, and at 1 during the week, and only fairly recently were getting tattoos legal..."
In A Nutshell:"A wonderful place to live and visit."
