March 2005 my dad came to visit me in China, so we took a little trip to Yanghuo. We spent 5 days here and this town is by far my favorite city/town in China so far. There is all kinds of restaurants/pubs and a lot of tourists, but it is very easy to get away from all that, there is many places to go in Yanghuo or near to relax and do absolutely nothing.
Hotels in Yanghuo do not have to be booked ahead of time as there are plenty of hotels/hostels around. Mainly all pretty cheap, I recommend you go look around by yourself for which place you want to stay at rather than just going by pictures, it took us 20-30 minutes to walk around all the hotel streets and find the ones we liked.
I think the scenery in Yanghuo is the nicest mountain scenery I have ever seen.
