| | A Home From Home I love this country with its tropical heat, great food and fab shopping.
I usually visit every year as I have family over here.
I esp love going to Bugis Junction with all the little shops and stalls. My fav place after there would be Orchard Road. As a self confessed shopaholic me and my mum spend ages going to all the malls and buying way to much. |
Great Food The last time I visited Singapore I went mad for Satay, The Carlton Hotel has a Satay Club, or something to that degree, so you can sit in the restaurant and watch as they flame cook your meal.
I also ordered alot of Nasi Goring, wow that dish is spicy, I am not that big a lover of spicer food but I can just about eat this dish. I remember me and Dave polished off a whole jug of water whilst eating this.
Jacks in Bugis Shopping Centre is fab, succulent steaks etc made to perfection (I love my steak).
My fav place to eat would have to be Swensens, I love their desserts, the last meal I had there was an omlette, very yummy and so thick as well. I am used to the wafer thin omlettes here in Sunny England. | | | Enjoying Satay in Cafe Vic, Carlton Hotel |

| | Nostalgia The thing I enjoy most about Singapore is the climate and just being there.
You walk down the street and there are countless shops, but there is also some lovely fauna to gaze at. Everything, to me, looks so tropical and bright. I love to go to Chinatown and see the old streets and wares being sold, I love walking from the hotel to Suntec, walking pass Raffles and through the pavements dotted with colourful flowers.
I don't really have a favourite place in Singapore, as I love it all. But I have to visit Clarke Quay everytime I go, especially now that it has undergone a huge renovation. I love the canopy above and the fauna dotted over the bridges.
Can't wait to go back, think I may be going for Chinese New Year 2008. |
