Ron's Travels

by NYC2TLV - last update: Jan 11, 2007

If we want to be deeply spiritual and a bit historical, my family going back is from Jerusalem. This was our home for thousands of years. But after all these years of knowing just a limited section of the world, I started to dream of all the other cultures and places around the world that I have yet to see. It was in my late teens that I started to explore the countries neighboring mine, Jordan and Egypt.

The Neighbors

After heading deep into the Sinai, I changed directions and headed to the Yitzhak Rabin border terminal and headed toward Petra. I fell in love with the middle east even more than ever before. People had been friendly, perhaps for my tourist dollars, but my apetite was growing and I decided that Europe was my next destination.
After extended periods and countless excuses to visit friends in Europe, I decided that I must expand my horizons even more. So I started to look toward the Americas for inspiration.
