San Juan Capistrano is located in South Orange Co. This is a very special town ,rich in history and beauty. Set in a valley a couple miles inland from the Pacific Ocean at Dana Point It is surrounded by green hills dotted with custom mansions set on large lots and in some places acres. It has areas that are totally upper class and yet still has lay back feel. With 60% of the town designated open space , numerous parks, miles of equestrian trails and undeveloped ridge lines it is one or the most desirable places to live in Southern California.

Lovely tour, Nancy - Went one year to the Swallow's fest & took that exact drive up to Laguna!! Great memories. Ahhh, the good life in San Clemente!! Bravo! Ciao bella, Carol
Hi Nancy! Thank you SO much for my time in Dana Point and the OC - it was wonderful (all because of you)! I'm looking forward to building my own SJC page - not nearly as good as yours. Gillybob greetings
I love this page! Your affection for this place shines through & personalises it so well. What a great scheme to protect the hills from development. And the Ramos House sounds excellent - love that Bloody Mary!
I enjoyed your page! Joe
Nice page Nancy = you put your guiding skills to good use here = the mission seems dear to your heart - a nice refreshing look back!
Me again, just coming back to read all the new tips and updates that you have added since my last visit to this page two and a half years ago. As a child in Illinois I learned about Johnny Appleseed, but not Padre Mustard Seed.
Wow!!! What an amazing page you have here. My husband and I will be in California next week and I'm now looking forward to visiting San Juan Capisrano. Great tips!!! Thanks, Lacole
I like trains, I like great food, so who could go wrong at Sarduccis? The The Ramos House sounds pretty great too. Yum then the German restaurant----I think I am hungry.
Aloha Nancy! Hope you are having fun in Maui. I have a new Colorado Springs page and restaurant tip for you. Can't get away from good barbeque. They do the whole pig in Maui Zowie Luaus. lol, Doug
Great page. Being a docent here must be wonderful - lucky you! leyle
