Restaurant Name: The Wind & Sea

Watch the boats go by as you dine inside or on the patio. The menu has fish & chips, salads, sandwiches and seafood dishes .

They have a Happy Hour midweek from 4:00 - 7:00 with a discount drink and appetizer menu. I like meet friends there at around 6:00 so we can also enjoy watchigng a beautiful sunset over the harbor.

Restaurant Name: The Harbor Grill

The Harbor Grill is a California casual restaurant .The seafood is very fresh & well prepared.The dining room is tastefully decorated and has an open kitchen where you can see your food being prepared and grilled from your table. There is a piano in the entry which can be heard both inside and out. There is a small patio area next to a pedestrian walkway with just a hint of a water view.There are other seafood restuarants in the harbor with much better views. But for the freshest and best tasting seafood, in my opinion the Harbor Grill has the competition beat !

Restaurant Name: Cannons Restaurant

Perched on top of the steep sandstone bluffs over looking Dana Point Harbor, Cannons has amazing views both day and night. On sunny days we like to lunch outside under an umbrella. At night I would recommend making an advance reservation for a window seat. in the Dining Room. The view of the coastal city lights from Dana Point to San Clemente is spectacular.

Favorite Dish: Cannons is known for serving a good steak and a great mud pie ,but we go here mainly for the amazing view !!

Restaurant Name: Coffee Importers

When we lived in Dana Point we used to go down to the Harbor for dessert. At the Coffee Importers they not only serve coffee drinks they have several nice desserts to chose from. One of our favorites is an ice cream cone from the Scoop Deck, located in the Coffee Importers Shop. From their patio you can watch people walking skating and pushing strollers along the path that winds around the Harbor.It is very pleasant to sit under the umbrellas on a sunny day or under the stars on a warm summer night. The Ice Cream and Coffee drinks aren't to bad either.
