Chiang Mai is a fascinating city in Northern Thailand.
We were enthralled by the landscape as we were flying in to Chiang Mai. I couldn't believe how much water there was laying around the countryside. I hadn't realised there had been massive amounts of torrential rain, mcausing flooding, in the days before we arrived. Lucky we didn't arrive a few days earlier!
I think it only rained once while we were there and even then we were happily inside having a foot massage so didn't get wet at all!!
This is a city that felt very safe to wander around even at night.
There is so much to do in and around the city that 5 days wasn't really long enough. I'm sure we'll be back there again one day. |
