Advertising Central

by emoja - last update: Apr 18, 2005

This area in Seoul (close to Insadong but I'm not sure exactly where I was ;-) is just overloaded with signs. It made me think of New York or Tokyo with the advertising. I happen to love that sort of atmosphere. This is one my favorite pictures from Seoul.
Gyedong neighborhood

Gyedong

This is the neighborhood we stayed in, Gyedong. The picture shows the street that led to our hotel, the Seoul Guest House. See my tips for the hotel review, and also a Things-to-Do tip for the Gyedong area.
Me on the street, Seoul

Very Modern City

A friend from VT informed me that Seoul is the most Americanized city in Asia. I believe it, even though I've only visited two Asian cities ;-) Everything you need is here, including you stuff you don't need, such as silkworm pupa for dinner. but then again, if you're into that sort of thing... you'll love it here ;-)
