Paris, at any time of year...

City of Culture and Romance

Near The Louvre
I adore Paris. I have visited this beautiful city many times previously for work and for leisure, but somehow, I hadn't been recently. That needed to be fixed, so when a last minute opportunity arose to spend a couple of free nights at the Hotel Majestic with KB who was working there for the week, I swiflty sorted out work & domestics, booked my Eurostar ticket online and was off ! The weather was chilly, but I didn't care. I found plenty to amuse myself with and some much needed 'me' time. My dear friend The French Painter, also lives there, so I met up with him on arrival for a catch up in a cafe, which was lovely and KB managed to get some time off over the weekend.

I hurridly packed a small suitcase filled with black clothes (naturally) and my white (fake) fur coat, some handy tips from some VT travellers for restaurants etc and tried to get some beauty sleep in an attempt to look suitably glam for my weekend to come.

Check back for updates very soon.
Some beautiful colour from the French Painter

The French Painter

While I was in Paris, I met up with my dear friend Bertran, (who will be referred to as 'The French Painter' from now on). He has a huge capacity for all things creative, one of his colourful works pictured here...
We rode of his motorbike around the Arc de Triomphe - what fun!

You can view more of Bertran's work ~ ici ~

Looks like a LOT of fun -- I'd do the bike in a Paris-minute!

Sounds like you had a most faboo time in Paris, Amapola! Visions of you & the French Painter dance in my, mimicking the scene of Amêlie. ...THE Hôtel Majestic on rue Dumont d'Urville? The F. Scott Fitzgeralds stayed there!
