Me and my sister visited Bozcaada on a national holiday. 30th of August is the Victory Day of Turkey. We celebrate the end of the independence war. Every year, the Victory Day make it possible to have a great holiday for a couple of days at the end of the summer. I believe end of August and September is the best time to visit Agean Sea and Marmara Sea costs of Turkey. It was a good time to visit Bozcaada, too. We spent very nice 3 days in the island.

We went there by a tour company (www.arnika.com.tr). Normally i travel alone, so it was a first experience for me. Still, -if i have time and energy- i prefer travelling alone but it was nice to travelling with the tour company because we did not have to bother anything(where to eat, where to stay) and let others organize everything for us. We had a tour guide which organizses everything for us and that was great...

Bozcaada is 3rd biggest island of Turkey. It is possible to reach the island by taking a ferry from Geyikli. During summer there is ferry leaving for Bozcada 4-5 times a day.

During winter only 2000-2500 people live in the island. However, the population goes up to 15000 in the summer.

The island is famous for its vines, the vineyard and countryside cottages. It is a very calm and peaceful place therefore travellers visit the island for a relaxing holiday.
