London at a glance in winter

Big Ben - the grandfather of all clocks
Surprisingly familiar and yet distant. People drive on the same side of the road as at home. Similar car and vehicle makes. English spoken widely (hehe).

Security cameras everywhere. Bureaucracy and red tape is common but everything is nice and orderly. One of the cleaner places (relatively) in Europe in terms of rubbish on the street etc

Easy to get public transport - you can travel from one side to the next via the underground in a flash (if everything goes well) and they have warm padded seats too. Buses are slower but they offer better views especially double deckers.

Mild winter weather (its like going to Genting Highlands). People are cordial and pleasant but they won't go out of their way to help you.
Tower Bridge

London Bridge

Well tower bridge actually.. just a hop and a skip away via the tube from most hotels.
"Malaysia House" street - new location

Malaysia House Cafeteria - new location

For those Kay Eliens who have been there for far too long and yearn for the taste of familiar "roti canai" and some "rendang" this is the best place to go eat and chat.

Its at basement level beneath the apartment building with the "Jalur Gemilang".

Pros:"Nice, orderly and pleasant."
Cons:"Read the title."
In A Nutshell:"The heart of the olde British Empire"

Hey, I was at Malaysia House a few years back. Had the tasty Satay there. Anyway, have a Great Birthday and Happy Valentines Day to you. Cheers, Abu
