Cinderella and her castle No doubt, Florida's Magic Kingdom has the best castle, much nicer than Anaheim's Sleeping Beauty Castle. The Magic Kingdom or Disney World is actually smaller than the Anaheim park in Southern California. I noticed that "Small World" rise was almost overlooked because it did not have the same style or architecture as in California. There is no Matterhorn, Alice in Wonderland, and my all time favorite, Mr Toad's Wild Ride. The Haunted Mansion is of a gothic tone verses the California Park and it's Antebellem style. The Pirates of the Caribbean has recently opened after a bit of a re-vamp to add "Captain Jack Sparrow" to the mix. Most disappointing ride. It is like the "Imagineers" wanted to hurry and get the ride back up for the summer season so they left out a lot of things, one in particular is the Bayou setting prior to the pirate invasion. This ride skips all of that and dives right into the pirate attack. The Magic Kindom had set up for the Christmas season and was blaring Christmas carols from the loud speakers BEFORE Thanksgiving! Now this was a bit too much. Hey folks the Christmas season should start AFTER Thanksgiving on the first Sunday of Advent. Florida's 4 Disney Parks are great fun but note there is little and limited public transportation to and from the parks, none of which are close together. Disney purchased 99 square acres of land and has only developed a third of the land. Guests will need to drive to get to see places like Disney Walk, Animal Kingdom, Epcot and the Magic Kingdom (Disney World.) Also check out: Cocoa Beach for more hijinx and fun |

| | Still a kid Kristi is a great person to go to an amusement park with as she likes to go on the majority of rides...like the tea cups (spinning into obilvion, faster, faster wheeeee) and then we comandeered the flying magic carpets and got spat upon by the big camel aka "that damn camel!" |
Epcot Food and Wine Festival Oy! I can't believe I ate the whole thing! This was a lot of fun and great exercise too since we walked the entire circumfrence of the park while eating and drinking our way through the different kiosks of food from other countries. | | | Cup of Canandian Cheese Soup |
