"I Dream of Jeannie Beach" a Cocoa Beach Travel Page by keida84

Ever since I was a kid I heard about Cocoa Beach, Florida on the show, "I Dream of Jeannie" starring Barbara Eden and Larry Hagman. I envisioned brown cocoa like sand with turquoise waters. I thought it was the "coolest" named beach in all the world. Fast forward about 40 years and I finally made my "pilgrimage" to Cocoa Beach.

It was a pretty beach with white sand and a somewhat greenish-gray water due to the choppy waters and windy condidtions. I actually got to see the Space Shuttle Discovery at a far distance out on the launch pad. That was the coolest thing of all. I really liked Cocoa Beach and the Cape Canaveral area and I hope one day not in the too distant fuiture to return and see a shuttle launch in person.
