On April 14, 2006, Berni and Carl Shand and I arrived in Sedona. We had a wonderful time, including a helicopter ride over Sedona! More of this trip to be posted but I am currently in the midst of moving so please check back.
I have been to Sedona many times. One of the most memorable times is when I took my husband there for our annual Perseids Meteor shower watch. We had a room right on Oak Creek Canyon, it was a hot August night with no moon. A spectacular light show in the Heavens occured that night with a boloid so large that we actually heard it sizzle as it shot across the sky!
During summer months thunderstorms can come up fast.
As it clears the light changes rapidly creating a riot of color across the rocks.
- Pros:Red rock, blue skies and the stars at night
- Cons:Too much development;
- In a nutshell:It's an experience unlike any other

I have a 12:00 noon flight from Phoenix Az airport on Sept 16th I'am coming from Sedona are shuttle times pretty on time I need time to get to Phoenix and how far is the drop off point to catch the shuttle to phoenix from the best western inn sedona
I like Sedona too. I posted a few shots here too. I didn't make it to the Grand Canyon. Drove from Scottsdale to Vegas via Sedona and Flagstaff.
