I definitely would recommend this hotel, one of the finest I have had the pleasure of staying at.
The food, however, is outrageously expensive, so we recommend using your refrigerator in your room and go to the local market (quick boat ride away) and stock up on local bread (but get there early 'cause it goes fast), cheese, fruit and we used coconut ice cream for our coffee. If you are a coffee addict bring a travel pot and coffee because all you get there is Folger's crystals
There is a restaurant and a bar on the Motu.
Guests who stay here have privileges at the sister hotel, Sofitel Marara where there is a pool, water activities, tennis, shopping and beachfront restaurant with a bar.
Some of the rooms are over the water bungalows; ours had a great view of Mount Otemanu. Others are up on the hillside or on the beach. They all have A/C, satellite TV and computer modems.
Unique Qualities: The hotels were orignially built by Dino de Laurentis for his movie "Hurricane". Although the movie flopped, the property did not.
Over the water bungalow on small island. You can walk down your steps and into the ocean to go snorkeling. There is a hole in floorr covered by plexiglass, at night you can turn on a light and watch the fish swim by.
