"Foumban - Lots of Interest but No Comfort" Foumban by madnomad

Foumban is very interesting to visit for 2 reasons - firstly the Sultan's Palace (a museum) and secondly the artisanal work.

There isn't a better example of sophisticated traditional Cameroonian culture anywhere else in the country. However, it is important to note that Foumban is INTERESTING - not beautiful.

Don't believe all that the guide books say about accommodation in Foumban.

• Cons:Need to check out accommodation thoroughly, need to plan transport carefully, and watch out - everyone wants some of your money.
