wierd this one - its in theunderground walkway of a subway station. But it had a great atmosphere. we went back again the next night (thursday and it had a club like atmosphere)

Nightlife Spot: simpler (or something similar)

This will be a b**ger to find. the entrance is non descript but once inside it is wierd. It's like an old factory building that has been cleaned up and has patio heaters to keep you warm. There are candles burning on broken walls - and expensive looking couches to sit on - to top it all there was a string orchestra playing - surreal!

Nightlife Spot: Budapest Pubs

just a bog standard pub we went in. It had a nautical theme and the beer was good and quite cheap. It was just around thh corner from our hotel so we met in there before going out.

Nightlife Spot: sign of the red fox ?

Lets just say this place is to be avoided if you value your health. The pints we were served were in glasses so dirty it looked like they hadbeen dipped in ashtrays. In fact if I hadn't seen the guy get them off the shelf I would have assumed it was an anti-tourist device.
Seriously 3 of the guys refused to even sip from there glasses. The braver more fool hardy - and thirsty - scraped away the grime - - actually the beer was OK.
There was also two types of wine that were served by ladels - i would have liked to try it but was a bit worried for my well being.
It was a very very cheap drink - needless to say!

Nightlife Spot: FOR SALE

This was a great find at 3.30am a pub with live music. It had straw on the floors and the ceilings were crowded with messages and calling cards people had stuck up. the beer was good the music was OK - a two piece guitar combo - the locals were very enthusiatic!

Quite a good spot - very clean, friendly staff, good beer and reasonable goulash soup.
We had great fun on the table football drank a few beers had a snack then left - itwas quiet but it was early doors

Nightlife Spot: Old Man's Pub

We had to give it a go - Mediolatino recomended it! - It looks like a great venue fo live music. We were too early and the night was still young so we didn't hear a band - although we saw them setting up. Good beer - nice friendly bar staff
