"One wild night well spent" a Madrid Travel Page by stevehallam

I took my wife Debbi to Madrid as a suprise Birthday treat. We just flew out for one day and night, then flew back. As our time their was very short - we decided not to try and see all the touristy things, but to go out and eat and drink as much as we could in the time available.
We had a large lunch in a fantastic restaurant called Botin (which I belive is one of the oldest retaurants in the world!), then boozed our way through the afternoon and evening in typical local bars, topping up on the free Tapas as and when required.
It was fantastic.

we did promise to go back and do the city justice - but haven't managed it yet.
