I only stayed in Berlin for 2 nights, but had a great time. we stayed in Mitte and although the hotel was a bit run down (and had no wardrobe - which really narked my wife) the breakfast was good and the location was great.
Our stay was during the the Portugal 2004 fooball competiton and we watched a match (Holland Vs Portugal) in an Irish Bar, called The Oscar Wilde - the atmosphere was fantastic. I usually avoid Irish theme pubs but the big screen was just to tempting - we met loads of friendly people, both tourists and locals - and had a very memorablel night.
All in all we have a great trip and although i will not rush back straight away, I think I will visit again |
