Agua Azul

Cataratas de Agua Azul (Spanish for "Waterfalls of blue water") are a series of waterfalls in the Mexican state of Chiapas. located in the state of Chiapas in Mexico. They are about 70 kilometers from the place Palenque on Federal Highway 199, which leads to San Cristobal de las Casas.

The falls are a series of small waterfalls that are located behind each other and plateau-shaped riverbeds demotion. The biggest waterfall bridge a height of about 6 meters. The name "Agua Azul" refers to the blue color of the water that is very bright blue color and a high minerals concentration.

The waterfalls are in the Tzeltal. The Tzeltal deserved nothing but the falls since 2006 and therefore eliminate toll at the entrance to the passing tourists there as to what you could earn.
