There are several glaciers, mountains and rivers in this park, including those of the Columbia Ice Field. In order to get to most attractions is the Icefields Parkway (Highway 93) of 230 km (143 miles) of Lake Louise in Banff National Park to Jasper National Park.

My visit

Mount Whistler

We went to Jasper for three day which was a very good choice, it is a great place to stay. We had our RV parked at Whistler Campground which is excellent. It is an large campground and in the evening very dark, so be aware of bear, but for the rest it is perfect, good spots and the possibillity to BBQ.

Jasper National Park to Banff National park

Columbia Ice Fields

From Jasper in Jasper National Park we moved on to Banff in the middle of Banff National Park. You go here by taking the Colombia Parkway straight through the Columbia Ice Fields going through the highest part of the Rocky Mountains in Canada. It is a great road with many lakes and falls. An absolute must do event in the area.
