Bako National Park

Bako National Park is a national park in Kuching, an area in the state of Sarawak on the island of Borneo in Malaysia.

It is the first national park in Sarawak since 1957. It lies approximately 40 miles northeast of Kuching on a peninsula.

It consists of forest and sandstone formations. The flora includes a variety of pitcher plants.

Orang Belanda

The proboscis monkey - The locals call this monkey Monyet Belanda, which means monkey Holland. This is used as a joke about the European traders and settlers. Both (the monkeys and the traders / settlers) were hairy, had large red noses and round bellies.
The nose of the proboscis monkey is so striking that we often forget how colorful they are with their warm reddish-brown coat. They have a cream colored chest with long gray sleeves and socks (feet) and a long white tail. They have orange shoulders a cap of dark red color.
