    • Whenever my family goes to Mauritius we try to rent out a beachside house.

    It works out a lot cheaper than the ubudance of island resorts. You are close vacinity of the beach and have the independance of a self contained residence.
    Usually with these houses there are maids who come and do your washing ,etc. these are ususally wonderful people , please go out of your way to treat them with the utmost respect and dignity.
    I remeber once when i was very young, one of the maids gave us a collection of beautiful shells because she was so gratefull to be treated by a"fellow mauritians" with such kindness.

    • Said to be the "most romantic hotel in the world", thats debatable but Le Touessrok hotel is world renowned and a Mauritian icon.
    Its brutally expensive but its very luxurious. My mum know someone who worked there so they got us a special price , if not wed probabaly have to take out a loan. It was a great experience though and felt like a million dollars.
    The prices per night range from around $600 - $800
