Noumea is the very quaint capital of New Caledonia. It is a place which perhaps brings a perfect melange between french and island culture.

It has its destinct laid back island lifestyle as well as having a chique feel, reminiscent to that found in the the south of France.

In Noumea there is an abundance of things to do. You can go shopping in the nice boutiques which lines the city streets or you can sit around on one the the many beaches nestled along the coast. The choice is yours.

From the lookout

Throughout the course of the day you can take a bus which takes you to the surrounding hills.

There you get a wonderful panoramic view of the city as well as its surrounding bay

Perhaps my favorite thing would be sitting on the beach in the late afternoon watching the sunset.
