Balmoral is my favorite beach in Sydney and a place where i often come. Several times a week sometimes.
It is a very calm beach and is also home to some chique resturants.
Im a fairly comtemplative type of person so late at night on occaions i come down here and sit on my rock (located on on the island next to the beach). Its a good place to think or bring a date or just causally look out onto the sea.
my favorite pace in Sydney without a doubt
Most people will remeber Stadium Australia and Olympic park because it was home the the greatest olympic games ever.
Stadium Australia at the time of the games could hold some 120000 punters, today it has been reduced to 80 000.
Its always intersting to come down to the olympic park to have a look at the sporting sites and relive a bit of our recent history.
There are other sporting venures in the vacinity which include the superdome, sydney aquatic centre and the showgrounds. Todays these venues play home to various sporting and musical events throughout the year.

Another personal favorite of mine and a place where my family often go.
The 1 km long Dee Why Beach reaches from Oaks Avenue to the entrance of Dee Why Lagoon.
Its a perfect place to bring the family and is popular amonst many sydneyites.
It is also home to some very fine resturants along the beachside and you can get some wonderful icecreams..
Koala park sanctuary is a great little wildlife park located in West Pennant Hills (where i live). It is home to a vast array of native australian wildlife and is very popular amonst tourists.
You get an opportunity to feed the kangaroos and hold koalas etc. I havnt been here in a while unfortunetely but on occasions the animals come to me.
I have had times, well once anyway, when i have come home late at night from a party to see a koala escapee from the wildlife park. There very nice up close and personal and that was a surreal experience.

Sydney's main zoo is Taronga Zoo. I havnt been here is a little while but would come here often as a child.
It was Recently voted the world's best zoo, Taronga is home to over 3,000 animals and is located just 12 minutes from the centre of Sydney. You'll see Australian animals such as Koalas, Wombats, Tasmanian Devils, Dingoes and Platypus. As you walk through you can also enjoy our natural gardens enhanced by the superb harbour and city views.
its about $30 dollars entry for adults which i find a tad expensive but its a really good zoo so i recommend going.

A Sydney Icon and probably is most famous beach. It is situated in the Eastern Suburbs, several kilometres from the centre of the city. Large numbers of tourists visit Bondi Beach throughout the year (mostly british).
Bondi Beach hosted the beach volleyball competition at the 2000 Summer Olympics. Bondi Beach is the end point of the City to Surf Fun Run. The run is held each year in late winter/early spring. The race attracts over 60,000 entrants who complete the 14 km run from the central business district of Sydney to Bondi Beach.
Its probably not my beach of choice (largely because of the distance from my house) but its a big backpackers hub and a must do should you come to sydney.

I often finish the day at the pier in Wollomolloo. They have some fine reaturants and its one of sydneys premeiere adresses. Russel Crowe amongst others lives there and when you go there youl understand why.
I usually walk through Hyde Prk until i get to the war memorial.
This place is a memorial to those who died in the ubandance of wars which Australia has taken part in. Its a memorial with a very sombre atmosphere in a very picturesque envirmonment
Across the road from the cathedral is Hyde park. A place i often frequent because there are many a political rally there, but also beccause its really beautiful and also a great place to just chill out.
Is a beautiful cathedral a short distance away from the botanical gardens. Its a lovely place to have a pray or quite time alone or even just to look at the architechture.
