"Surprising Iceland!" a Iceland Travel Page by Redang

Many visitors to Iceland have the same question: Build just one page or many? I have decided to build a few. The scheme, is:

- I will describe the whole trip on this page as a novel with differents chapters using the Things To Do section.

- The info about food (restaurants), hotels (accommodation), gas stations, roads and maps (transportation), will be here.

- General Tips will gather weather and links about tourism websites, tourism offices and other general tips.

- For the info about the main international airport (called Keflavík) and how to get to Reykjavík, and car rentals, visit the Transportation tips of Reykjavík.

- If I consider that a destination deserves its own page, I'll let you know with the appropriate link; that page will gather the, let's say, "normal" info we usually add to the mentioned destination.

- Take into account that many times, when I say town or village, don’t look for what we normally call towns or villages. Sometimes there are just a few houses dispersed along the road or maybe just a farm.

- Finally, the dates: I went from 31 July to 10 August 2.008. It's important the dates regarding the weather and road conditions.

Once I arrived at Keflavík Airport, I went to Reykjavík to overnight. The morning after, I rented a car and drove, clockwise, along the road N1 also called "Ring Road". This road is good and goes around the whole island.
