Your photos bring back nice memories of my own visit to Coimbra, which was quite a long time ago, over 46 years ago in fact. You had better weather than I did, that's for sure. I didn't know the Inquisition functioned from 1566 to 1821, that's 255 years!

Wow! Through your pictures I am able to get a true sense to just how old this city actually is. Portugal is one of my favorite countries in the world, so I was happy to have found this page.
