Estação do Rossio/Rossio Station Metro Review

This beautiful station has been renovated for a while and it works again since Feb. '08. It usually operates the Sintra line (linha) being Queluz one of the stops.

It is in the city centre, but just in case you need it:

- Metro: Believe or not, the closest metro station is not Rossio (green line) but Restauradores (blue line).

Feet

Apart from the Castle and Monastery of Jerónimos (and Belém area), you should use your feet, it's the best way to get to know a city (in this case, Lisbon).

A good network, although many times is not needed.

Lisbon-Portela Airport Airport and Air Travel Review

The airport is very close to the city, almot in the city itself, so that, you can reach the centre very fast.

* To/from the airport:
There are some buses: AeroBus (91) is a bit more expensive, but you can get a pass for the following 24 hours; other buses: 22, 44, 83 and 745. Obviously, it depends on where you need to go, but 44 and 745 (apart from Aerobus), go to Marqués de Pombal, then, down Avenida da Liberdade to Cais do Sodré.

This is another important hub for Lisbon due to it operates:
- Suburban/urban trains: Linha/line to Cascais so that, the line to Belém and Jerónimos Monastery
- Boats to the other bank of the river
- Tramways
- Local buses
- Metro: Cais do Sodré (green line)

The most important hub in Lisbon: Train, metro, bus, taxi. It was designed by the Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava.
