Ermita de San Antonio de la Florida (Madrid-Spain) - Madrid

Ermita de San Antonio de la Florida (Madrid-Spain)

Ermita de San Antonio de la Florida

The main attraction of this tiny Ermita (hermitage) are the frescoes painted by Goya in 1798 and the hermitage itself was built in 1732 (main and second pics); (unfortunately,.no pics allowed of the frescoes).

The hermitage was declared National Monument, and a twin one was built next to it just for religious usees (third and fourth pics

A statue of the painter is in front of both hermiatges (fifth pic).

How to get there:

Trip to Almagro

In this case, what I recommend you is not a day trip because the town of Almagro is a bit far. Once there, stay at least one night, there are some interesting places nearby.
