We were in Kuantan in mid-December, 2005. Despite this being the monsoon season in the east coast of Malaysia, we had 3 glorious sun-shiny days and enjoyed beach activities. The Hyatt Regency (where we stayed) is situated at Teluk Cempedak, located just 5km from Kuantan town. Teluk Cempedak is an enclosed bay, and at weekends - is a favourite among the locals. McDonald's is the hotel's neighbour !
