This is me in St Georges bay sat on a car we rented in November 2004. I have spent a lot of time in Malta for a tourist I feel like it's my second home. I like to holiday in Malta at least once a year, I can't always but if I skip a year I try at least twice the next. The thing that keeps me going back is the warm friendly Maltese people.
One day I would very much like to have my own home in Malta
The first time I came to Malta I was still in my teens and it was my first holiday, Michelle booked it she booked cheap she always did.
My brother Colin thought it would be funny to make me nervous so he said "you will get to Newcastle airport and a huge thunderstorm will break, as the lightning strikes you will be given seats 13a and 13b and when you get to Malta the hotel will have been pulled down."
Of course I told him he was full of crap but as we got to Newcastle the sky was black and a thunderstorm started I laughted it off as coincidence then we got seats 13a and 13b and I laughted at that too.
When we got to Malta they told us what bus to goto but I overheared a rep saying to another couple the bus went to St Pauls so I asked why are we being put on the wrong bus? He said just get on the bus. So I went back to our rep and he was trying to get away from me but I caught up with him and demanded to know what was going on and he told me the hotel we booked had been pulled down and was still under construction.
I thought well I'll be he was right 3 times and started to laugh he must have thought I had gone mental, Michelle by this point was sat in the car park crying. She didn't really like Malta but I loved it from the off.
Here is me and Jack I put this photo on because we look like we have been put on another photo. It was lovely out on the terrace we spent quite a lot of time out here.
- Pros:A beautiful place to holiday
- Cons:I cant think of anything really bad
- In a nutshell:Sunny and friendly

Yes, it is a porn cinema - think it's closed down now though
The day you went, Kinemastic were probably holding a film screening there.
Thanks for sharing your tips and pictures! Very nice manpurse indeed ;-)
I would like to see St John's co-cathedral when we are there April 2010.
Just saw this post. Actually that's not Maltese Rabbi but someone must have tampered with the text on the board removing the last letter "T" thus it should read Maltese Rabbit! In fact Rabbit in Malta is considered to be one of the best local dishes.
ha-ha we saw the same sign on the costa brava in october last year "privet" indeed "
The same happened to us last year at Valletta waterfront. It was a very busy evening and so we had to park quite a way up the road. Again with us the guy asked "how much you want to pay" and so we knew it was a scam!
Your Malta pages brought my memories back. Thanks. Best wishes from Istanbul. Bora
