Introduction of My World

My name is Hosea Aryo Bimo W.N. You can called me Bimo for short.

I'm a IT staff who happened to study majoring in Archaeology and Psychology, an Amateur Archaeologist & Psychologist. I also a Theater Activist, Movie & Theater Reviewer, Writer, Poet, Game Tester, Mountaineer, Traveler, Tarot Reader, Dancer, Historical Re-enactor, and Photographer. I enjoy good food, good drink, relaxed atmosphere, and spent most of my time traveling toward historical and cultural places.

there is a strange connection between me and historical & cultural places since most of the time i end up in that kind of places during my journey. There is many untold stories i can share from my journey, many strange experience that i think i should safe it later to share

sadly, most of my data regarding my past journey were scattered everywhere specially since most of the time i use non digital equipment to documented it.

Reason or Calling for a Journey

My interest in traveling first came when i still a little child. My father always took me everywhere from town to town and country to country due his business trip. It was strengthened when my family knew that i had a big interest in Archaeology, History, and Nature since i spend much time watching all things about that. Documentary Movie were a-must for me and spark an urge to travel everywhere [which i started when i was 6 years old]

The calling were quite right when i became an Archaeology Student. Since i have already became a Mountaineer [learning much from my father and grandfather] i spent my time as an Archaeology Student on a journey. Jogjakarta - Solo - Semarang were my frequent route, backpacking along the way.

Although now i became a Psychology Student [due my habit as an observer], and have already got a settle job as an IT Staff, those calling were far from over and my dream to walk the earth and beyond were far from over.

Activities

As i said before, i keep myself busy with many things and activities because there is so many things i want to do and explore. i said to myself that i still inexperienced and i want to learn from anything. So, to learn is adventure.

confuse? i though so

blatantly speaking, i just a person who have so many interest, in almost all of things [except papaya of course since i hate those fruit from the bottom of my heart].

I found the world, the nature, the universe and any being inside it was too wonderful to ignore and try my best to understand it.

Documentation of The Journey

Documentation i believe were a tool for we as a traveler to tell our story, our journey and i happen to like it quite much.

but one thing that became my problem lately, that is reorganizing all my data regarding my journey and make it as a soft copy.

to tell the truth, i took many picture along my journey, ranging from just a walk away on the neighborhood to what i called "Combat Drop" [that is mountaineering or Expedition] with every tools i have and some of it need to be reorganized since it don't have a digital properties.

Traveling Equipment Preference

When traveling, I have a special equipment I always brought with me. I prefer a simple packing rather than a cumbersome travel bag. Mostly I bring along my backpack with me. I store everything I need into my backpack range from cloth, flak jacket, toiletries, food, even my camera.

This is what I usually bring with me on traveling occasion range up to 1 week travel:

1. My Green backpack or my Yellow semi-carrier pack
2. 1 Flak Jacket (my grandfather World War II Japanese military Jacket)
3. 1 Flak Suit (my Grandfather World War II Japanese military cloth)
4. 1 Flak Belt (My Grandfather WorldWar II Japanese Military ammo belt)
5. 2 Veldples (my standard military waterjug). [Outdoor Traveling Only]
6. 2 Leg Pack
7. 1 Camera usually with 3 - 6 Film Rolls (I prefer old style SLR Camera)
8. 1 Compact Digital Camera
9. 1 Handycam (with 4 Mini DV Mags & 4 2 hour spare battery)
10. Up to 5 spare cloths
11. Up to 5 spare underwears
12. Up to 2 spare pants
13. Toiletries (ranging from soap to face cleaner, I got most of everything)
14. Food and Snack (which occupy 2/3 of my backpack)
15. 1 LED Flashlight (with up to 10 spare battery)
16. 1 Commando Army Flashlight (with op to 6 spare battery)
17. Zippo Matches (if the flashlight fail you)
18. 1 Commando Dagger
19. 1 Heavy Bayonet [Outdoor Traveling Only]

Historical Re-enactment

Did I told you that i was a Historical Re-enactor? My interest in Archaeology & History sometimes taken the best of me in my journey. And i also joint a Re-enactor Organization in my place called IDR [stand for INDONESIA REENACTOR] for actualization. We did some re-enactment together, we did discussion, and some short indie movie. But most of all, we have fun.

the picture below is me with some member of our organization, dress as Japanese - Indonesia PETA & Heiho [Pembela Tanah Air] Officer during the 2nd World War. PETA & Heiho itself were Japanese Indonesia Organization dedicated to train Indonesian youngster for Japanese war effort on the 2nd World War.
