I have some family members in San Diego so I go fairly often. It's about a 2 - 3 hour drive from LA depending on traffic, and it's great for a little weekend trip. The city is clean and pleasant, and it's easy to find hotel rooms with views of the harbor. The gaslamp district has a lot of restaurants and fun clubs / bars. The Padres stadium is close too, and I highly recommend a day at the ball game, even if you're not a baseball fan. |
