Off The Beaten Path: A lovely walking day.....
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Bull s island is a lovely place for walks, birds watching, bathing if you r brave enough...,or just breathing(don t be scared of the industrial area in front of it, it s just a piece of the scenery...).If you really like walking, as I do, take the dart from the center, and stop at clontarf station.as soon as you go out from the station you follow the road within the parking area and once out turn right and keep on walking.the island is a couple of mile away, follow the path by the sea, is wonderful in a sunny day.the island is easy to spot, the first bridge on the right will lead directly there.if u instead love but really love walking, as i do...., after the island you could keep on walking for around 7/8 miles you can reach howth island, a must see in dublin, where you could reach the summit of the hill and walk around the cliff.then you can hop on the dart if you are tired(i m sure you ll be.,..)after a lunch in one of the many pub in the peninsula of howth.enjoy!if you are not satisfied I live on the way to bull island from the dart station, you can knock on my door and file a complaint......
