the tunnel leading to the treasury the tunnel is a natural passageway through the mountain with plenty of interesting statues and interesting natural features.towards the end it gets narrower and in the last few metres that is what you see |
| | the treasury the treasury is just the first building of the complex, not the most important one, it s just of the first of many others. Apart from the classic walk from the tunnel to the roman part I strongly suggest everybody to do all the walks the site has to offer. The monastir and the altar of sacrifice are a must but don t miss the walk on the right side facing the roman way at the very end of all the palaces turning backwards toward the inside of the mountain. After a long staircase you ll end up on the top of the mountain, the view is amazing, and if you keep on walking straight after the only building you ll find at the end of the staircase you ll end up on the top of the mountain facing the treasury, the view on it again is magnificent and you could enjoy almost on your own.best time for the photos is early in the morning |
