Putrajaya: Build it and they will come.......
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • And built it they have. This whole township built by the Malaysian Government for the Malaysian Government and their employees and family is an outstanding example of town planning. I've had the chance to see it evove over the past several years to how it is today. but the thing is that they are still building and improving.

It's great just to take that 50 minute drive or a 20 minute train ride out of KL to see this place. It's simply an attraction for it beautiful blend of old and new style architecture.

    Putrajaya: Politics and Religion
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Here is the Mosque that stand tall in from of Parliment house. Pretty much like how religion is preceived in Malaysia - Islam comes first.

Anyway, compared to most of the other is KL, this is massive. Only yhe Mosque in Shah Alam can rival it's size and beauty.

    Batu Caves: Ultimate StairMaster
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Batu Cave is a very popular destination for visitor to KL. But, on most days it's pretty boring. However, if you enjoy a good work out then attempt the hundreds of steps that leads yo to the top.

If you do want to see a spectacule then, try to time your visit with Hindu festival. The Thaipusam is where you get devoutees piercing themselves with enormous metallic structures. They end up looking like Human Chandelier. Not for the Squeamish

  • At the back of KLCC, you find a beautiful park for the whole family. Walk around the pond, and ejoy the refuge from the hustle and bustle of KL city.

Jump in the water and find the locals. Don't let the big security men with their big batten deter you. :)

Menara Telecommunications Tower: Towering over KL
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • The Menara Tower is a 300 plus meters tower that was erected in the 90s in dedication to someone small inferority complex. :-)

Find your wya to the base of the tower and catch the free shuttle service up to the entrance of the tower. There they will charge you local or tourist prices (difference of about 7 ringet).

At least wiith tourist price you get a head set explain to you the various landmarks you'll see from the observation deck. If it wasn't for the explaination, the walk around the observation deck would be over in a matter of minutes.

Make sure you go up during a clear and sunny day. Otherwisre don't expect to see much.

Also, there is a restaurant on the higher floors. However, reservation has to be made prioir to your visit.

    Suria KLCC: Cooling off
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • When venturing about KL city, you undoubtly feel the heat cooking you alive during the middle of day. Here is a perfect solution to your problem. Find your way down towards the park that's connect to KLCC and look for the waterfall. Take your shoes off and dip in the water under the shades of the overhanging trees. Relax here for a while before facing the world again.
