"Don't think I'll be going back... " a Turks and Caicos Islands Travel Page by latinatraveler

I spent 5 days/4 nights in Providenciales, Turks & Caicos and I must say that I was not overly impressed by it. It is still in the process of emerging into a visitor-friendly locale so there isn't much to do on the island. While I'm all for kicking back at the beach and relaxing, if you're not driving, there isn't all that many choices to eat. The beach was nice, but I came back with THE worse sunburn I've ever had in my life after only 3 hours at the beach on my second day there. Needless to say, I spent the rest of time nursing my wounds.
