"Ko Lanta" a Ko Lanta Noi Travel Page by gib157

Ko Lanta was the last place I visited before flying North to Chiang Mai. I had read that it was a 'sweetheart island wiht backpackers' and to see it before it became another Ko Samui, so I did.
Its not as developed as other islands and so the roads are uncomfortable in places. I stayed at the Kantiang resort and I started off not liking it at all. The staff werent very friendly and my room wasn't too nice but the food was ok. I knew I only had a couple of days there so I joined a 4 island boat trip tour for the next day which was great. There were two rocky outcrops where we snorkeled like at Railay and then we went to a place called the Emerald Cave which you can only get to by swimming through a semi-sunmerged cave which opens out into a beach inside the cliff. Very Surreal. Then went to the island of Koh Hai on the way back which was absolutely beautiful.
I booked my flight at the resort and left early the next morning.
