"Ko Phangan" a Ko Phangan Travel Page by gib157

After a 9 hour bus trip from Surat Thani, a 4 hour wait there and then a 3 hour boat trip ( wiht no suncream on) I finally arrived on Ko Phangan. I was so excited after looking at the photos in the TAT office back in Bangkok. I had dreamt about beautiful beaches and warm water. I got a ride to Haad Salad on the North West of the island and after a little confusion I made my way down to the beach, and it was amazing.
In hinesight it wasnt the most beautiful beach I saw on my trip but it was the most beautiful one I had seen up to that point. The sea was translucent, the air was warm and the trees were swaying. I remember just smiling and smiling, it seemed like a postacard. I really enjoyed my time here, especially after the chaotic metropolis of Bangkok.
