Nakhon Pathom Travel Guide: 41 reviews and 117 photos

Our trip to Nakhon Pathom we can say to be surprising. We thought we were just be going to the floating market then later have lunch at the Rose Garden. Lani & I were surprised when we were informed by our tourist guide that we'll be stopping over to see the World's Largest Pagoda. And it was indeed large.

About 56 kms away from Bangkok, we were informed that there are schools nearby and a very rich community surrounding it.

The community is very provincial. Tuktuks are aligned beside the street/hi-way waiting for possible commuters, street vendors are everywhere, they sell yummy street foods.

It all sounds very exotic to me, especially the idea of the multiple Buddha. Interesting info!

great to find another VT-page on Nakhon Pathom ... and what a sportive event it is this race around the chedi ... though your time of 30 minutes is far from the official record :-)))
