%Due to recent events in Bali we were concerned with visiting Bali on our way back to Australia. We decided to have a low key and relaxing time staying predominantly in the Hard Rock hotel and the main streets surrounding Bali. We did not get a chance therefore to explore the isand but still managed to have a great time. Relaxing never seems to be a problem in Bali and this time was no different. The people continued to be friendly, the massages cheap and the food very good.%c* |
|  | Sari Club Site This is the place of the devasting Bali Bombing. The actual site still remains flattened and has an eerie feel to it. It is covered with memorials to the people that lost their lives their, and messages to the people responsible for it. There is an interesting array of people blamed for the bombing, ranging from Bin laden through to George W and Johnny Howard. It was great to see the messages that illustrated the Australian spirit and resolve, and the relationship that Australians still have with the Balinese people. |
